Grand Theft Auto III is a realistic gangster game that combines driving simulation, violent crime and gunplay in a highly innovative way. Set in Liberty City, players take on the role of the protagonist "Claude" who, after his girlfriend betrayed him, ends up taking revenge on the Colombian gang and his ex-girlfriend Katerina.
The game is divided into two main mission systems. The main missions. There are several main missions, which are related to the story and plot of the main character. Side quests. The side missions are free-form elements that allow the player to move in the direction they prefer, they are not connected to each other.
In the game the player has to drive a vehicle and perform some difficult manoeuvres to gain some extra rewards. It also requires players to take up weapons and fight enemies one-on-one. As this is a violent crime game, you can even drive your stolen car around the city aimlessly and enjoy crashing into people, jump out of your car and grab a weapon to rob people on the street, or simply drive your car into a telephone pole. The game also incorporates driving simulations, so you can drive taxis, vans, sports cars, ambulances and even police cars to fully enjoy the fun of driving. In addition, the game's high freedom of play makes it even more playable, as you can obey the law and earn money by driving taxis, fire engines, emergency vehicles and even police cars. You can also complete some criminal missions, assassinate some target characters and keep consolidating your power in the city, but the police will take "special care" of you if you act too aggressively.
