Asphalt 9: Legends is a popular arcade racing game and is the ninth installment in the Asphalt series. Gameplay focuses on arcade-style racing with fast-paced action, stunts and exhilarating visuals, featuring more than 60 high-performance cars from well-known brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and W Motors. The cars are divided into five levels based on performance, with D being the lowest and S being the highest. Asphalt 9's racing mechanics are intuitive and easy to learn. Players use the touch screen or keyboard to steer, accelerate, brake and drift.

There are two control modes, TouchDrive and Manual, and TouchDrive is the default control mode designed for beginners. In TouchDrive, the car accelerates automatically and the player simply swipes left and right to drive and up and down to perform stunts. Manual mode, on the other hand, requires players to manually control the car's acceleration, braking and drifting. The game has multiple game modes, including career mode, multiplayer, events and daily objectives. In career mode, players complete a series of races around the world, each with a different goal, such as coming in first place or performing a stunt. Players win races to earn points and prestige points that can be used to unlock new cars, upgrades and customization options. Multiplayer mode allows players to race against other players online in real time. Players can participate in daily or weekly events, join clubs, and compete against other clubs. The game also features Ghost Racing where players can race against other players' best performing ghosts. Event mode offers limited-time challenges that reward players with exclusive cars, points and customization options. These events have different themes and goals, such as completing a series of races in a specific car class or performing stunts. Daily Goals mode offers a set of daily challenges that players can complete to earn rewards. Challenges range from winning a race in a specific car class to performing a certain number of stunts.
