Puzzles & Survival is an innovative game that not only incorporates the classic triple elimination elements, but also sets the game in a zombie-infested game world. In addition to matching gems, players also need to use their powers to defeat zombies and try to survive.

The rules of elimination in the game are similar to most triple elimination games, by moving up and down to match 3 and more gems of the same color to eliminate them on the screen. Two up-down or left-right adjacent gems can swap places with each other. When you eliminate 4 and more simultaneous gems in one move, you are rewarded with a special gem. Special gems tend to be more powerful and they can help players eliminate whole rows, columns or more numbers of gems.

Here's the kicker, the gems you match will shoot forward as they are eliminated, dealing damage to the zombies as an attack. The more gems you match, the more damage you will deal to the enemy. Each zombie has a blood bar underneath it, and each time you attack, the amount of blood will decrease until it is completely depleted, which means the zombie is killed by you. Note that you are not always in the attack state, when your attack round passes, the opposite zombie will also launch an attack, and then your hero's blood bar will also be reduced, if after this round of attacks, your hero still has blood, then you can successfully launch the next attack. However, if all your heroes are out of blood during this round of attacks, you will face the defeat of the game.
